New Year, New Challenge

Christmas is over and the New Year has begun. We had a wonderful Christmas the only thing I dislike about Christmas is that we prepare for the big day for months and it's over in a blink. This year I have already taken down the decorations which is very unlike me I usually wait until March. Last year was a year that had it's ups and downs. The highs was we had another great camping season, meant and made new friends. I guess I talk a lot about camping but we have so much fun there I'd rather be there then anywhere else in the summer. I also got re-elected as Fire Chief I don't know if that is a good thing or not. We also lost so many people that were close to us especially my mother-in-law, she was the best. The loss of Misty is still hard to except, she is a missing link in my household.
This year will be a year of challenges more so more then years before. First of all I have to get back in the groove as the Fire Chief, especially when you are among those who don't really want you as there Chief. I'll have to run for re-election on the Township Board if I decide to run ,it is my understanding I will have someone running against me. I have a lot prep work to do to get the camper ready for the season because of our move on the side of the hill.
Last year Pint got a new job, which really cut back her camping, but she is the one person that says go ahead to the camper. The only requirement she had was for me to take my granddaughter(Misty). it was nice because since we bought the HHR she came over on Saturday morning if she wasn't working. We have adjusted to her job and she is getting the hang of the job, and really likes it. As a matter of she said the other day "she'd rather be working then sitting at home". We plan to go on bus trips when she retires, but that is far away it may never happen.
I wish for all of our fellow bloggers a Happy New and may God bring his blessing on you and your family.

The best to you and Pint. Looking forward to the camping season and what changes it might bring. See you at the dinner.
