Fair Well My Dear Mother


Mother a final goodby from your son who you cared for in his childhood, who watch over me as an teenager, and who loved my family as a father. I will miss You , but I will never forget you. Love Jeff
Christine B. Dawson, age 86, of 2274 Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg, died Thursday evening in the Berwick Retirement Village where she had resided since September 2007. Christine was a resident of Espy her entire life. She was born March 20, 1923 a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Hoss) Heckman.

Mrs. Dawson attended the former Scott school and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Espy. She was a member of the Bloomsburg American Legion and a life member of the Espy Fire Co.

On September 28, 2003 Mrs. Dawson was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Dawson, Sr. ending a 61 year marriage. She was also preceded in death by her only two sisters: Lula Dieterick and Olive Newhart.

Survivors include a daughter: Linda Stotler and husband, James, of Berwick’ five sons: Jack L. Dawson, Jr. and wife, Marge, of Bloomsburg, Larry Dawson, Sr. and wife, Kathy, of Mill Creek, PA, Jeffery A. Dawson, Sr. and wife, Mary, of Bloomsburg, Dennis W. Dawson, Sr. and wife, Christine, of Benton and Scott J. Dawson and wife, Leslie, of Bloomsburg; thirteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Rev. Gordon E. Smith, St. John’s Lutheran Church, officiating. Committal and graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
